Anthony “Tony” Posawatz has served on SemaConnect’s board since October 2020. As an automotive professional with 40 years of industry experience, Tony is an expert on the future of mobility, the electric drive ecosystem, and the integration of future transportation technologies. Tony’s numerous product innovations have led his product development teams to several awards and industry firsts. His product and general management experience extends to leadership with GM's "Fortune 25" full-size truck business, initiating new brands like Escalade, Avalanche, and Volt, and creating new industry segments like 4-door, short-box trucks, large luxury SUV’s as well as pioneering electric drive and auto mobile apps with OnStar.
Tony also serves as President and CEO of Invictus iCAR; is a board director of several auto-tech companies including Metalsa, INRIX, Nexeon, Beam Global, Spiers New Technologies, Renovo Auto, Lucid Motors, and Nanoramic Labs; and is an advisor to Fermata Energy, Zapp EVs – Urban Motorcycles, SAFE Electrification Coalition, American Battery Solutions, Gentherm, Turntide, and Assembly Ventures.
Tony previously served as Executive-in-Charge of Global Electric Vehicle Development and Vehicle Line Director at General Motors’ Chevrolet Volt division and was the President and CEO of Fisker Automotive.
Tony graduated from Wayne State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
